The multi-award winning and mythical S7 has established itself as a powder skiing game-changer. Hard charging expert skiers and once struggling intermediates agree: The S7 is revolutionary in it's ability to make powder skiing more fun and less fatiguing. The S7 utilizes Powder Turn rocker which combines low camber underfoot with high tip and tail rocker. Powder Turn rocker provides amazing floatation, tracking and an efficient angle of attack that gives skiers effortless steering and instant speed control. The S7 delivers more maneuverability, forgiveness and fun than any other powder ski on the market. Rossignol has created the perfect powder tool for the wide range of skiers who all have a fetish for skiing the deep.

POWDER - FLOATATION - ACCESSIBILITY - SLASHES - EFFORTLESS Rossignol's Powder Turn is engineered with 50% low camber underfoot while the remaining 50% of the tip and tail features high rocker. The camber underfoot delivers power, energy, and edge grip for groomed snow. The high rocker tip produces more floatation and effortless powder skiing. The high rockered tail is pin shaped to allow skier to have an efficient angle of attack providing easy steering and instant speed control. The 50/50 rocker/camber combination is the most versatile from pow to groomers.

Our rocker philosophy: “The right camber, the right Rocker”
Rocker technology is revolutionizing today’s approach to skiing, making it easier and considerably increasing product versatility.
The first virtue of rocker geometry is that it allows the tip to be more versatile and work harder to stay on the surface and float more naturally in all types of soft snow. The second feature is that it improves pivoting ability on all kinds of terrain, by freeing the tip and tail.
To cater for all needs and adapt to all conditions, Rossignol presents the right rocker/camber combination as four profiles, each with a distinct geometry offering its own turn type: Power Turn, Auto Turn, Powder Turn and Spin Turn. From concretehard snow to 20 inches of powder, from 15 mph to 75 mph, in long and short turns, beginner or expert, you will have new sensations, discover new lines and new spots, and enjoy the snow in new ways.

How Does It Work?

phase 1
At almost zero speed, the ski extremities are free, due to the rockers. The turn initiation is intuitive and effortless. The ski rotate with no more swing weight, right under your foot. Easier for everybody, beginners or experts.

phase 2
When the skier takes speed and initiate the turn there is a 1st transfer of weight and pressure on the edge. At this moment, because of the rocker tip and tail, the contact length is shorter and this provide a higher pressure on the snow. It’s what we are calling “fakir effect” : higher hard snow holding when initiating turns.

phase 3
Into the turn, the ski is working as any other traditional ski, providing full length contact, control and security.

Rossignol's Centered Sidecut technology features a unique, tappering tip and tail with short sidecut directly under the foot. The deep radius gives edge grip and power underfoot while the short length of the sidecut allows easy steering and playfulness.

The rockered tip is in the shape of a spoon for maximum floatation. The tip profile is tapered for effortless tracking in deep snow.
