The all-new Xium Skating is a top-level race ski developed for competitive athletes to expert skate skiers. Featuring the same construction and pairing process as X-ium WCS (World Cup Series) skis, the new X-ium Skating delivers a new level of performance for expert skiers not committed at the World Cup level. Skis are paired using the Rossignol Fit System (RFS), which measures closing flex and camber shape, ensuring precisely matched pairs for optimum selection and fit.
With the carbon removed, the X-ium Skating delivers a larger sweet spot for more accessible, high-performance racing.
The S2 model is designed with a universal flex and camber height ideal for all snow conditions.

This construction radically changes the way the ski behaves by combining the characteristics of 2 materials:
- Rossicap:
- Very flexible - influences the flexibility of the whole ski
- More freedom of movement at tip and tail
- Tip and tail float and glide freely over uneven terrain. It's "the snake effect".
- Multi-directional fiberglass:
- Torsional rigidity
- Enhanced directional stability.
- Very light material with excellent compression characteristics and strength
- Used on all Expert skis and some Performance skis
